Thorium Nova - Future Meetings
Hey gang. Happy Thorium Thursday Friday. I hope you're well.
Some news: We'll be having a virtual meeting on Tuesday, November 23 at 6:30pm ET. Here's the link to the meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/3585022182. Here's the agenda:
- The future of Virtual meetings
- Should we continue only having virtual meetings as part of a proposal process?
- Should there be a standing meeting that always happens on a regular interval?
- How frequently should we meet? The cadence should try to balance project goals with respect for contributors' time.

Since last newsletter two weeks ago, discussion activity has gone down. There are currently open discussions about a plugin registry, supplying initial data, and how to represent positions in space. I would love to hear what you think about these.
Is there a proposal you want to make, or something you want to talk about? Feel free to start a discussion!
In the last newsletter, I shared a list of things that need to happen before we can start releasing a weekly alpha. Here's that list, updated for what's been done recently:
- ✅ Plugins
- 🔶 Flight management (tracked in this issue)
- Station layouts - the frame that goes around the station
- ✅ Station complement definitions - stations and cards a ship has for a given crew size
- At least one card to play around with, probably starting with a simple Alert Condition card
- 🔶 A form for reporting issues, bugs, and feature requests
🔶 means progress has been made, but it's not finished yet. Want to help? Ask how to help on Discord, or take a look at the open issues.
Finally, I'm asking for a little feedback. It's been a month and a half since we kicked off the new Thorium community. How is it going for you? Do you feel like you're part of the community? Is there anything I can do better?
